Getting To Know More BTS Rap Monster

After their worldwide fame led the BTS to become the first K-pop group to win the Billboard Music Awards at BBMAs this year - an act that no other Korean besides Psy has earned - all eyes are on septet. In their trend-setting approach to K-pop and their charismatic, but relatable, personalities, the boy band is the most visible Asian act in the US today.

While their ever-honest ARMY knows everything that has to know about BTS guys, many of this South Korean actors who are newcomers may not be familiar with. Never be afraid, Billboard's main guide to BTS members is here to help.

BTS frontman Kim Namjoon was born September 12, 1994, and impressed on his skills as a rapper under the ground before the BTS was established. Since the group's first release in 2013, Rap Monster led the group at a great height. Take a look at five quick facts about Rap Monster below.

1. The Team of Leaders
K-pop activities usually have a member who is responsible for ensuring that things are done and go the way they should be done and Rap Monster really lives up to the title of "leader." He was the first person to be brought up as part of a group that eventually became the BTS, and provided a solid foundation for the group.

2. Raps Like a Monster
The name tells all this, is not it? One of the rappers of the BTS, Rap Monster also writes music and is known for putting his creative touch on multiple songs. But, despite the name of his stage, Rap Monster is not just a rap; He recently sang one of the songs of the group members released during their recent fourth anniversary event.

3. Gone Around In Collaboration
He has worked with some of Korea's most popular hip hop and indie artists, such as MFBTY, Primary, Don Mills and Gaeko. Earlier this year he had partnered with Wale for the political bill "Change."

4. He Learned English by Viewing Friends
Rap Monster is the majority of BTS English interviews because he is the only member who is fluent in that language. She teaches and says she learned while watching Friends. He told Yahoo that Chandler was his favorite character and that he was a fan of Ross and Rachel's love. If at all that he had learned English through a sitcom, consider that Rap Monster was recognized in Korea because of having an above average IQ.

5. He's a Underground Rapper Before BTS
Prior to the BTS, RM was originally known as Runch Randa in the Korean underground scene and also part of the Daenamhyup crew. The Rap Monster is always held in a bit of that anti-mainstream attitude, especially in her expressive 2015 mixtape.
